My pressman broke a sucker on the 1st time he did not need the outboard suckers. Which I think was the 3rd use of them.
Without any instructions included to the contrary he started the press without first blocking off the outside suckers. They need the rubber gripper popped up and a piece of tape placed across.
It should not have contacted anyway but the sheet or something was enough for it to get pulled forward.
I called the manufacturer and was basically told too bad. They did indicate their might be a shorter set that wouldn\'t have this happen but only offered to sell another.
I feel if they work this way they require a warning. If it was a flawed unit then they should have offered to replace the unit. If they have a correct size for a 360 ABDick 360 they should replace all 4.

NOTE; FROM KOMPAC.COM WEBMASTER.
Each set of BigFoot Sucker Tubes ships with a warning printed on a bright red sheet of paper. Warning stresses importance of checking press vacuum release timing so as to iinsure proper release of sheets from suckers to forwarding rollers. Failure to heed this warning can result in poor performance of Bigfoot suckers.
Symptoms of a late breaking vacuum release valve are, 1; A squeeking/suction sound when sheets enter forwarding rollers with suction setting high, 2; Sucker cups wear at back edges of cups, 3; Tail-whip/skewing of the sheet which causes tail end of sheets to skew towards non-operator side of press with 11x17 sheets.
To test vacuum release timing of your press, feed a sheet from pile into forwarding rollers by turning the handwheel manually.
At the point where sheet lead-edge enters nip of forwarding rolls by 1/16\", stop sheet and put slight downward pressure on sheet with your fingers directly behind suckers.
If there is ANY residual vacuum still holding sheet to suckers, vacuum break valve does not open properly and must be adjusted to release sheet sooner.
